Valentine’s day. Believe it or not it took me all day to get some inspiration on todays photo…you’d think I would be surrounded with things to photograph on a day like today, but with Igor gone all day and the kids out, I was left feeling quite alone and therefore not in the celebrating spirit.
I’m not overly excited about this holiday, although I love any celebrations that include boxes of chocolates, Lindt chocolates mmmmm.
A thought came to my mind, it’s a day to celebrate love, the love between couples, but who’s to say it has to be limited to that. After an inspiring conversation on the phone to a dear friend I thought, if there was one kind of love we could all use more of (especially women) it’s the love we have for ourselves, liking who we are, I believe our self acceptance should be celebrated! We get so caught up in being mothers, wives, girlfriends, friends, employees, bosses, that’s it’s often easy to forget who WE are and makes US special. So here’s to me, the person I was, the person I am and the person I will become…flaws and all!
