{Jason & Kayla} ~ Wedding ~ Gold Coast

April 18, 2010

I’m not very good with words, never have been, and in the last couple of days this has become more and more obvious to me. I think I put on a tough exterior, but deep down am really quite a softy. Whenever I do a wedding I’d love to write poetic descriptions like some fellow photographers do, but it simply isn’t a part of who I am, I find it difficult to put my emotions into words; and that’s what a wedding is to me, emotions…strong ones. I get emotional at each and every wedding, I feel privileged that someone would choose me to capture their special day and share it with me and I love feeling the rush of different emotions that everyone shares in their own special way, the nervous bride and groom (boy was he nervous), the sad little girl who wants her mummy, the proud grandmother that can’t stop smiling and the overall feeling of happiness that buzzes at a wedding. Have I said the word emotions enough? I’d really like to tell the story not only by using the photographs, but by using a description to help the story along. Got to start somewhere, here are Jason and Kayla…
