I would love nothing more than to find the words that this couple, this wedding and these images deserve, but those aren’t my strong point. I first met Katrina and Chris a few weeks prior to the wedding and from the very first moment was made to feel welcome and a part of the preparations for their special day. So much time and effort was put into every little detail of this day, down to the individual napkins that were purchased from ebay by Katrina’s mum, Karen. A team effort made everything possible and this day as special as it could be, from Chris and Katrina to their parents and a long list of family and friends, Trudy from Lovebird Weddings with her exceptional planning and passion for detail and of course every person present on the day. The love and respect shared amongst the guests is so obvious, there’s no need for further explanation. I knew it was going to be amazing from the moment I arrived, greeted by the smiling bride whom I thought was already set to go, yet hair and makeup hadn’t even started, she was radiant on her own! The nervous and emotional groom who couldn’t help but get teary (more than once) with the father of the bride Alan, goes to shows crying’s not just for girls!!
Love, that’s what it’s all about and sharing it with all those that surround you. I got to take some home with me, a new experience, a new lesson in life. Alan’s words to me just as I left the wedding were “You are the best photographer that we could of ever had, you did an amazing job”. Ditto.
