Today has been a day of celebrations. My mum’s 50th Birthday party amongst friends and family…and I have a small celebration of my own today. One year ago today I shot my first wedding, Stacey and Mark trusted me to capture their special day for them, I will be forever grateful for this. 12 months later and 18 weddings, I truly feel like I have found my “calling” in life. I’ve come a far way from where I was last year and believe I have a long road ahead, but the day I stop learning and evolving both as a person and a photographer, is the day I should stop what I am doing.
Thank you to all the couples I was fortunate enough to work with, Stacey & Mark, Sue-Anne & John, Michelle & Simon, Leonie & Chris, Diane & Ashish, Kayla & Jason, Alison & Sam, Annabelle & Stephen, Sharon & Tony, Alyson & Don, Sam & Matt, Inna & Rob, Sharyn & Patrick, Allison & David, Candy & Cleve, Amie & Rob, Lucinda & Rob and last but not least, last nights couple Kelly and Rik. Thank you to all the couples who have already chosen me to capture their special day for next year, I am thrilled and excited at all the new stories I will tell through my camera. Thank you to everyone that follows and supports me, although you may not realize it, those comments and likes help me and make me want to strive for more. A big thank you to Alice and Francesca, my daily sources of inspiration. Last but not least, thank you to my family who have believed and invested in me from the start, I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them…
This is where I was last year ~
and today ~
