A ONE AND A HALF DAY EXPERIENCE / LIMITED TO 6 ATTENDEES
The workshop, just like my sessions, comes from a place of being present, often taking us in different directions as we get to know each other, and I discover the individual group I am honoured to work with.
Over the course of a day and a half, the workshop includes an indoor newborn and maternity session, along with a family outdoors at sunset; giving you insight into how I interact with different subjects under different lighting situations, always making the most of my surroundings, whilst passionately searching for every moment in between. Teachings will cover both camera technique, settings and lens choice, accompanied by posing and use of natural light; which along with client interaction and transitioning, will help you understand how to create meaningful captures for your clients, to get the most out of every setup, promoting continuity, flow and the natural unfolding of moments. Part of our shooting day will include new and inspiring head shots captured on film, so make sure you come prepared, ready to show me and the world who you are!
On the second day after a wholesome meal and a good night’s rest, we will cover what takes up most of our time as photographers, life BTS (behind the screen). I will share the workflow I’ve developed over the last 10+ years; from download of the images, culling and editing in LR & PS, to final upload of the edited session in the client online gallery. Sharing various shortcuts learnt for a timely turnaround time as well as the programs I’ve adapted to help me with my digital workflow. From there I will be discussing the selling of products, album design and wall displays. I walk you through each and every step of a session from enquiry to final delivery. There will be time to discuss business and marketing, along with Q&A.
I share it all, not only to give you the tools and confidence to move forward or change direction in your own business, but especially to give you an honest insight on my why, so you can reconnect with yours.
Faded memories and photos remain the only proof of our existence, an honest documentation of who we were.
