October 14, 2011

When Cassie walked in the room, it filled with sunshine. Warm, kind and such a beautiful mother.

Joy. Love. Kindness. Belonging.

Ryan, Sam, Nicholas and Amara are all of these things and so much more. I love being with them, and being reminded of the quiet, gentle love that holds their family together.

I love the little things. The hands. The glances.

I love the little things.
The hands. The glances. The nervous smiles.
The people around you, showing their love in a thousand different ways.

All the quiet layers beneath the beautiful moments.

the ones I would frame.

I’ve photographed a lot of babies over the years, but multiples have always had a special place in my work. I once taught a workshop in Perth with twin girls, Angelina and Jennifer, and another in London with nine-month-old triplets.

There’s a certain magic to photographing multiples. The relationships, the tiny interactions, the way they move together and apart. It’s about knowing when to step in and when to let things unfold.

So I thought it was time to share a little more of that. I’m planning an online twin newborn workshop for October/November, sharing how I approach photographing twins and the families around them.

If you’d like the details when it’s ready, leave your email below.

Winter blues ~ Dec/Jan 2024. Our first European wi $Winter blues ~ Dec/Jan 2024. Our first European winter together. On Film. I’m in none of these photographs, and none of them are in print. I used to shoot film because it went straight to print. But as the kids get older, the mental load spreads out in a way that’s hard to explain. I have the system and labs ready. I just lack the focus. If this were a work deadline, it would be done. Instead, five batches of family rolls are gathering digital dust. These school holidays, I’m just forcing myself to print *one*. Just one album. If your focus is totally fractured, how do you trick your brain into finishing a single personal task? Would love to hear what helps you “get it done”! #35mmfilm #familyphotography #travelphotography #documentaryphotography #printyourphotos$

E poi guardo queste fotografie.

Vedo te. Vedo tua mamma sempre accanto a te.

VVB ❤️

We can ooh and ahh over photographs on our screens

We can ooh and ahh over photographs on our screens every day, but honestly…I want them on paper, in our hands, on our walls and in our albums. Where they’re meant to be.

Albums all the way in 2027. Who’s with me?
