“My little 17 day old monkey has spent the last 10 days in hospital fighting meningitis.
During this, doctors discovered his jaundice level was more severe than baby jaundice and that his liver enzymes and physical assessment suggest ‘congenital bili atresia’. We have tests this week to confirm/deny this diagnosis.
Treatment is to support palliative care and give babies the best quality of life possible for approx 5-10years before they go into liver failure, and this is provided there one of the 50% that the procedure works on, otherwise it’s a liver transplant. As his mummy this just isn’t acceptable !!!
We need a miracle !!! Divine intervention. So please share this. Beau’s daddy and I would love a million prayers … Or for this to reach someone in the world offering a new, experimental procedure offering a better outcome. And a chance for his daddy and I to watch him have an amazing healthy LONG life …
